Chicken rasam ( Kozhi rasam) for 2 pax
5 medium sized ( bony part chicken)
4 cups of water
1 teaspoon of Blended ginger
Use a mortar and pestle to crush the Ingredients below:-
5 cloves of garlic together with the pod/skin
1 big riped tomato
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 fennel seeds
1 teaspoon pepper
2 stalks of curry leaves
4 small onions
Powder
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
Boil the chicken till the meat is soften
Add blended ginger, salt and turmeric powder
Heat oil in a small pan and add the coarsely grinded ingredients and fry until golden brown...
Add the ingredients which has been fried in the boiling chicken with water
Boil for another 5 -10 min
Garnish with coriander leaves..
If you want you rasam to have a tangy taste you can add 2 tablespoon of lemon juice...
Rasam is ready...
